Emily has grown up in the rural town of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, surrounded by her large family. Her passion for animal care started at a very young age, as she and her dad always had a variety of animals ranging from cats, dogs, goats, pigs and cows. In 1999 Emily became a veterinary assistant while she attended college. The best advice Emily believes she was given, she has taken to heart: “Learn the most about what you love”. This advice inspired her to focus on veterinary medicine.
Emily has worked in small animal practices, emergency care, orthopedics, ophthalmology, and ICU specialties. In 2011 Emily became a Nationally Registered Veterinary Technician. In 2014 Emily began managing a small animal practice in Douglasville, Ga. Learning the business aspect of managing a hospital, along with a life long goal of owning her own business the dream of Combs and Collars came to life in late 2015.
Emily is married and has one son, Trenton, who is musically talented.
